Emmanuel's areas of expertise and interests include self-organizing teams, software making and Extreme Programming. He works as a coach and facilitator in Paris, France, for Octo Technology, where he helps various organizations to be more effective and happy at producing software.
Emmanuel grounds his work in performance theory, ritual-making and post-structuralist analysis – which sounds only half the fun it actually is – using his theatrical background in techniques such as performative coding, retrospectives, team alignement or cultural subversion. He has been co-facilitating several workshops based on such techniques at XP04, XP05, XP-Day Benelux 05, XP-Day Germany 05 and SPA 06. Emmanuel is a member of the XP-Day France organization committee, and he is also involved in the conduct of a Coder's Dojo Experiment in Paris.
